NANDAN ART
Aatmano Mokshartham Kala – the guiding philosophy for Nandan, where Art is a path to the ultimate goal of human life – spiritual liberation.
Our goal is to foster realisation through art rooted in the principles of bhaav- kala-vikas (भाव – कला – विकास). Started by a couple in 2023, Nandan is a welfare art initiative to provide financial support and professional guidance to promising young art students from esteemed art instituions of India.
We currently work with senior art students of Govt College of Art and Crafts, Kolkata and plan to extend to other Art institutes in future. The collaboration between Artura Space and Nandan creates a platform for featuring selected artists from Nandan Grant alumni. This further fulfills our commitment to art as well as society by contributing into fostering a more empathetic future.
Vision
We envision creating a society where good art is valued and practiced. That’s nothing very new for India. We had been a society that practiced and valued great art for centuries. Nandan is our way to contribute and be part of the journey across time.
Mission
Our mission is to support young art students financially to enable higher learning and continued practice. Our mission is to inspire young art students with the rich, profound and timeless ethos of the Philosophical systems of India that has fostered for millennia.
Our mission is to take art to the society as a means to explore the profound ideas that give purpose to individuals and societies.
